IoT & Embedded Systems [Texas Instruments and ABE Semiconductor Designs]
COE: IOT& EMBEDDED SYSTEM LAB
- The department of EEE established IoT and Embedded system laboratory in association with ABE Semiconductor designs, Chennai in November 2016 and laboratory facilities were upgraded as a Texas Instruments Teaching Lab in association with Texas Instruments, TI University Programme in August 2018.
- Centre of Excellence – IoT and Embedded Systems aids the students for providing technical skills, brand them as future professionals and assist them to improve their performance by imparting career oriented courses periodically.
- This laboratory provides IoT and embedded controllers, boards, Launchpad’s and kits for learning, designing, testing and trouble shooting on their innovative ideas of all the students and faculty members.

>> DC Motors and Stepper Motors
>> Sensors (Temperature, PIR, smoke, touch resistive, ultrasonic, water, rain, humidity, light, infra-red and moisture)
>> RF ID readers, Tags, LCD’s & ULINK Debuggers
- MOU signed with TEXAS INSTRUMENTS TEACHING LAB
- Incorporates most recent updated versions of Texas Instrumentation Sponsored Basic hardware modules like,

Objectives
- To elicit our students imagination beyond the circle in order to find many solutions for real time applications using embedded systems & IoT. To conduct hands on training, workshops, seminars for students interms of development of new research ideas, project, product and patent developments. To motivate our students to develop IoT based realtime products.
Research and Training Activities
- Students can have hands on trainings on ARM controller, ARDUINO and Raspberry Pi controllers etc,
- Real time projects can be developed for our own college by our students alone.
- To make innovative mini projects and main projects in embedded systems and IoT.
- To facilitate students programming, dumbing and debugging knowledge in embedded and IoT.
- Discussing the experimental investigation for all kind of real time problems.
- Creating a new project which atomizes all our day to day works.
- Solving industrial oriented problems in hands with ABE semiconductor design.
- Students trained with TI robotic instruments by Hands on trainings.
- Students participated in national level product development program and hackathon.
Achievements Through CoE
Project Expo and Hackathon:
- C and Kishore.R of III year EEE Dr.T.Sengolrajan (Mentor) has won National level SECOND PRIZE in India International Science Festival (IISF 2021) held at Panjim, Goa on 11th and 12th Dec 2021.
- C and Kishore.R of III year EEE has won FIRST PRIZE in Project Expo titled 'Weather Monitoring Based on IoT' in POWERFEST-2K21, National Level Technical Symposium organized by Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology, Andhra Pradesh on 2nd August,2021.
- Bharathkumar R, Gokul S, Suganeshwari K of III year EEE and Dr.T.Sengolrajan (Mentor) has won SECOND PRIZE in National level product development Hackathon (NDPH) organized by CSI, Chennai chapter on 17 and 18, Apr 2021.
Paper Presentations:
- C and Kishore.R of III year EEE has won FIRST PRIZE in paper presentation titled "Smart Agricultural Techniques" in SZIKRA 2K21, a National Level Technical Symposium held at Jai Shriram Engineering College, Coimbatore on 01.10.2021.
- Kishore of III year EEE won THIRD PRIZE in paper presentation at M.A.M School of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli during 10th National Level Virtual Technical Symposium, ACME 2K21 on 13th October, 2021.
- Kishore and C.Sundar of III year EEE won FIRST PRIZE in IDEATHON at Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai during the 12th National Level Collegiate Technical FEST, E DRESTEIN'21 on 22nd & 23rd October, 2021.
